I find them to be somewhat Sherlock Holmes-ish, the short stories at least.  I mean, I say that off the top of my head an could change my mind once I think about it more, but they really are relatively straightforward who-dunnits most of the time, with some interesting science and deductive reasoning thrown in.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I can't think of a single episode of CSI that I've seen where the conclusions seemed implausible based on the evidence. I only saw a couple eps and that was enough.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As for CSI...
